PLEASE NOTE – 4 mm blades are typically NON-removable steel blades from older model goal skates with plastic cowlings. For 3mm steel (common in newer, cowling-less goalie skates), please purchase the Goalie/Sled Blade Holder. Created to work with the Sparx Sharpening System and accommodate all blade types.
Pro Tip:
Skate steel is in its straightest state when not mounted in the holder. If you’re a stickler for even edges, try removing your blades from the holder and sharpening with the Sparx Blade holder.
